thank you. I renamed the folder back to what it was originally....I think. I hope.
I use iTunes 9.
Previously I had the organize option checked, but not the copy files option....which I have since checked.
When I moved iTunes: I dropped the entire iTunes folder onto the ehd. I had some issues with the music copying back to the internal drive, and I believe, you, advised me to hold down the options button and open itunes in order to select the ehd library. Which I did, and subsequently everything except my current issue has run smoothly.
I looked in Finder/Music and to my surprise, found this: iTunes (6 items): album artwork (1); iTunes Media (1); iTunes Library LIB; iTunes library extras.itdb; iTunes library genius.itdb; iTunes library.xml
Should I delete them?
On my external hard drive, these are the folders: automatically add to iTunes (0 items); iTunes (8 items); music (2 items) -THIS IS A NEW FOLDER THAT SHOWED UP WITH THE NEW DOWNLOADED MUSIC
Seagate GoFlex software; Readme.pdf
When I open iTunes (8 items): Album artwork (3); itunes music (499) Previous iTunes libraries (10); iTunes Library LIB (which is how I open the iTunes app); itunes library extras.itdb; iTunes library genius.itdb; itunes library.xml; itunes music library.xml
can you make any sense of this? have I completely screwed it up? thanks
