How do I connect my 2007 IBook via Airport to my Belking F9K1001 router WAP Mode?

I have couple of 2007 IBooks which work fine connecting to the internet everywhere I go. However, when I come home, I find myself braking my head against a wall trying to link my IBook to my Belking Router F9K1001 with WPA Mode WPA2 Personal. I just read it needs to be update to Airport 3.3:)?<>I would have thought that when you update your software, it would automatically update the Airport function<>Am I wrong? and if I do have to where and how to go about it. At the end, my confusing question is, if others claim they have been able to work it out, how in the world idid they do it? My OS 10.4.11

Thanks everyone

Hi, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.

There is no such thing as a 2007 iBook. Apple quit producing iBooks in 2005.

Do you really have two iBooks? Check out this list, and tell us which exact model they are:

Or are they MacBooks (which were introduced in 2006)? In which case, check out this list:

Let us know for certain which model you have, and maybe we can help you sort things out.

If you are elegible to upgrade to Mavericks, you will probably need to get a new router. The Belkin (not "Belking") N150 F9K1001 wireless router isn't compatible with Mavericks. Belkin confirms this. And the router has not been able to maintain a reliable internet connection thoguh this router since Snow Leopard. Beyond that, it's WPA 2 works okay. I don't think Airport (or your model of Mac) has anything to do with this -- Airport is for configuring Apple Routers and can't touch the Belkin router.
