Fail to connect internet

Fail to connect internet but in the System Preferences Network, the Ethernet Status is siad connected, SO does anyone can help ?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.7.3)

if you have not already then restart the laptop and if that dosent work go to the system prefences network and disconect and reconect to the network you want and that should do it 🙂

can you take a screen shot of the system netwerk prefenses when it is open? so i can see what it might be. it might all be the modem you are using needs to be restarted also
