setting up Logitech MX1000....

My Mighty Mouse died on me yesterday, so I decided to get a real mouse & pick up a Logitech MX1000 wireless mouse. Problem is, I loved the ability to scroll side to side w/ the mighty mouse, which is why I liked the tilt wheel feature of the MX 1000. Problem is, when I tilt it to the left, it just opens Spotlight & I can't figure out where to change that prefrance! it's not in the mouse & keyboard, dashboard & expose, or spoghtlight menus. The software that came w/ the mouse only works w/ Windows....Is there other software available? So far I miss my mighty mouse.......

Hi, silence —

This is Logitech's Driver download page for the MX1000 and OS X. (It's the Logitech Control Center v. 1.6.2.) I can't say whether it will provide all the functionality you seek — Logitech's Mac support has often been spotty. If not, you may want to check out SteerMouse, a "universal" 3rd-party mouse driver that supports both USB and Bluetooth. You can download & "test drive" it for free.

You may also want to check out Logitech's forums for Bluetooth &/or Mac users. Access is from this webpage.

I hope this helps!

Warm regards,
Dean

Cool, silence!

Always nice to read a post from a "happy camper"... I'm pleased to hear things worked out so well — and...

Glad I could be of assistance. If I may — please consider marking the thread ( and my post above, if you consider that appropriate) as "Solved" ( User uploaded file ). That may help others when they're searching here for answers to similar problems...
Stay in touch,
