permanent on screen placement of quicktime player window

Hello Dear Macsters,

New to apple and love the iMac a little annoyed however with the system pop out screens for instace "info file" or quicktime player always opening on the left side of my screen this I take it is the default behavior.

Is it possible to set or have the Mac remeber where for example quicktime player was last opened and have quicktime player open in that exact place all the time?
