No click sound when I type

My iPad 1 today I realized have several problems:

No click sound when I type, screen not rotating anymore, when I try to update my app, enter my apple ID, it doesn't show the number keys on the keypads.

Anyone can help me please.

Thanks

When I saw the question at first, I sure wasn't prepared for all of these issues. You question said no click sound when you type. Since you have several things going on here, start with this.

Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.

It sounds now like system sounds are muted and the screen is locked. Read this .....

If you lose sounds for keyboard clicks, games or other apps, email notifications and other notifications, system sounds may have been muted.

System sounds can be muted and controlled two different ways. The screen lock rotation can be controlled in the same manner as well.

Settings>General>Use Side Switch to: Mute System sounds. If this option is selected, the switch on the side of the iPad above the volume rocker will mute system sounds.

If you choose Lock Screen Rotation, then the switch locks the screen. If the screen is locked, you will see a lock icon in the upper right corner next to the battery indicator gauge.

If you have the side switch set to lock screen rotation then the system sound control is in the task bar. Double tap the home button and in the task bar at the bottom, swipe all the way to the right. The speaker icon is all the way to the left. Tap on it and system sounds will return.

If you have the side switch set to mute system sounds, then the screen lock rotation can be accessed via the task bar in the same manner as described above.

This support article from Apple explains how the side switch works.

This would be a simple explanation for the screen rotation which also relates to the information above.

If you see a lock icon in the upper right corner of the screen - then the screen orientation is locked.

Try the side switch above the volume rocker first and see if that unlocks the screen. If that doesn't do it, double tap the home button and swipe to the right and look for the lock icon all the way to the left.

Demo, came across your solution it is spot on. Thanks for clearing up the loss of clicking issue for screen touch and closing the ipad. And I learned a few more things from about my ipad. Nice to know about the volume and brightness control in the task bar. Didn't know that was there until I swiped via your instructions and found it. Thanks for taking the time to post your answer
