I have yet to be able to update to 5.1.1. It will not down load to my iTunes either. My iPad comes back with an undesignated error, saying it cannot update.

What happens when you try to update via iTunes? Error message?
It start to act like it is going to download, then comes back cannot connect to server, when my connection is fine. Also it says it is going to take some un godly amount of time to download, and I have no problems downloading other things. I connect to the app store fine, down load apps fine this just happens on this one particular update, last update went fine. Thanks for responding by the way :)
Sounds like the standard network timeout error. Disabling the computer's antivirus and firewall during the download and update usually resolves that error.

Just because to have a good connection to the Internet does not mean that you have a good connection to the Apple server.
Try temporarily disabling your firewall and antivirus software.
