Q: how to check manufacture date of macbook pro

How do i check the year my macbook pro 17'' was made. I have OS X LION 10.7.4 Installed on it and i want to know if i will be able to install OS X Mountain Lion when it is released.

Open up the System Profiler (hold down option key and select the Apple menu, first item).
Check the hardware specs. Look for:
Model Name: MacBook Pro
Model Identifier: MacBookPro7,1

If the Model Identifier is MacBookPro2,1 or 2,2, then it won't support ML.
