Q: how do i get the rented movies i have on my itunes onto my ipod?

i have rented a movie on my itunes and now i cannot get it onto my ipod touch. I have tried to copy it and it doesnt work. it just says you cannot copy it onto this devce because it cannot be viewed, please help!
