With that one, I'd try updating using a .dmg installer downloaded from the Apple Website:

http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/

I have the same problem, but I when I downloaded itunes using the link given, I could not open the file. and below the file name (in the downloads window), "verification failed" appears.
