Q: My computer indicated my ipod 2nd gen was corrupted. The computer attempted to reset to previous setting, but could not. Now the ipod does not work and computer states there is no ipod when it's connected

Computer failed to sync ipod 4th gen and comp states ipod corrupted. Ipod cannot be retored and computer indicates an unknown error occurred (1418). Updates were installed, but computer fails to recognize the Ipod. Any suggestions?

iPod nano (4th generation), Windows Vista
