What if I buy Aperture 3 now and Aperture 4 or X comes out soon after?
Read great reviews on Aperture 3, but also understand that a new version is soon to be released. Don't wish to invest $$$ if a new version is around the corner.

Only Apple knows the answer to that one and we are just users here.
The fact that Aperture is now being delivered by Apple via the Mac App Store at a considerably lower price than many of us paid for it before the MAS, it may be that Apple will no longer offer upgrade pricing and just release a new version beyond AP 3 at one price as a full product.
In other words, you might have to pay full price for both AP 3 and a new product AP 4 or X if it is released. 😉
