iPod classic error code 1413

I have an iPod classic it was recently restored in apple in Reading on a Macintosh computer. When we got home i tried connecting it to my Microsoft laptop and it came up with error code 1413 and still wont restore what should I do?

Try removing and Plug-ins you have installed with iTunes. See here for more information.

iTunes: Troubleshooting issues with third-party iTunes plug-ins


Otherwise, try to reformat the iPod's Hard Disk using the instructions in this article.

More often that not, this particular error message can be a good indication that your iPod's HD is going bad or faulty.


If possible, try another USB cable and port as well as restoring it again on another PC.
