Please help...when I open FinalCut pro X now my events do not load even though in finder they are still visible in the FinalCut folder under Movies, What can I do to get these projects to load in the library of FCPX? Thankyou.

Try trashing your preferences. What do you see in the event library? Post a screen shot.
I reset preferences, no different. Sceen shot useless I have an empty FCPX program. Ive quit and restarted hoping it will load projects from the FCP folder in Movies, but nothing.
What do you see in the Event Library exactly? A screen shot would really help. Do you see a home location? Do you have any other folders inside the Movie folders? It may be there is a folder there interferring with the applications operation.
What do you mean by empty FCPX program? The window doesn't open? You only have a menu bar? What do you have?
How about a screen shot of the Movies folder?

Inside Movies you have another folder named Movies. Try changing its name.
