Timeline length on Final Cut X
How do I extend the timeline length on Final Cut X to more than 59 minutes?

The timeline does not have a limit. What are you seeing that indicates there is a limit? Post a screen shot.

I wanted to insert some video which exceeds this duration and I get error message this is not allowed as the timeline is not long enough. However I can't see anywhere to extend the time line.
Never seen this. Is there anything in the project? Is this a single one hour video clips. I've made timelines that are longer than two hours. Are you sure you're editing in a project? I don't see a project icon.
that may well be my problem . I've just moved over from FCP 7 adn am really teaching myself from scratch. I'll not get a chance to look at this until next week now as I've got to do my day job in between. Thanks
