Q: So, what can I do with a vintage or obsolute 20" Apple Cinema Display?

I've replaced my old G5 with a Mac Book Pro, but it wont' work with my old 20" Apple Cinema Display.

So, what can I do with a vintage or obsolute 20" Apple Cinema Display?  Any ideas?

you want to have this post thread moved to macbook pro forum or to the PowerMac area?

Probably find someone with a G5 or G4 I would assume.

If this is the translucent/white frame with ADC connector:

It "tragic flaw" is that it has no power supply, and today's equipment does not want to power it or use ADC connector. For about US$100, you can get a used Apple (or Dr. Bott) DVI-to-ADC Converter that has the required power supply. This changes your display to a DVI display with a power brick in the cable.

A simple adapter from whatever-your-MacBook has {DVI, mini DVI, mini DisplayPort} to DVI will adapt the display to the computer.

If this is the silver frame with its own power brick:

A simple adapter from whatever-your-MacBook has {DVI, mini DVI, mini DisplayPort} to DVI will adapt the display to the computer.
