How do I use numbers spreadsheet to make mailing labels?

Hi Pamela,


It is a bit tricky to use Numbers for label printing, but it can be donw. The best app on a Mac for labels is AddressBook. You could move your data from Numbers to AddressBook, and print from AB, but that's not entirely simple either, so it may be a toss-up.


AddressBook knows about label sheet Avery part numbers, and Numbers doesn't. You probably have a stack of label sheets handy that you could measure so you could set up a table in numbers to match the label pattern. Then it would be a matter of moving your data to the properly formatted tables. This requires a bit of programming to get the address format in a cell.


If you'd like to give it a try, post the first fwe lines of your Numbers table that has the data and we can go from there.
