Just like any other instrument:

Make sure you have a software instrument track selected (not an audio track).

In the Inspector (or the Mixer, or the Environment window), click-hold the slot above the output slot.

You'll get a menu of all the native Logic plug-in instruments. Below these, select AU Instruments, then look for Spectrasonics, then select Omnisphere.

That should do it....

Hi Troels,

Component files (Audio Units) can be in 2 places as far as I know:

(bootdrive)/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components

or

(bootdrive)/Users/(yourname)/Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components

Your first picture shows the file path for Flipflop - is that your boot drive?

I guess Bibliotek = Library so the Omnisphere component should be there or in your user folder as above.

If not, you may need to re-install.

When you have Logic open, go to the Logic Pro menu, select Preferences, then Audio Unit Manager. Do you see Omnisphere in the list?

Hi C. Thanks for your patience .. When I read the manual they write that you can insatlere omisphere on an external hard drive, so it need hardly be in the flip flop which is my boot drive HD?

Since we talked last I have found the directory it is located on my internal hard drive (not my boot drive) but it is still not visible in Pro Logic.

I have also searched in Preferences, Audio Unit Manager. and as you can see there are also no plugin here!

Hi again,

Omnisphere installs some very large files and you're correct - these do not have to be on your boot drive. But the Omnisphere.component file should be where I suggested ie on your Flipflop drive. Why don't you try moving it or putting a copy on your boot drive?

For Omnisphere to work correctly, other files must also be in the right place, eg the STEAM folder. If you install this on another drive, you must have an alias here:

(bootdrive)/Users/(yourname)/Library/Application Support/Spectrasonics

One more suggestion:

As this is a Logic forum, you'll get more amswers and support from any Spectrasonics forum.

There is a good one on Yahoogroups:

http://launch.groups.yahoo.com/group/spectrasonics/

You'll also get answers from Eric Persing of Spectrasonics here:

Wow Troels - you're really having a tough time there!!

That file that can't be found is the defualt setting file for Omnisphere. You say you can "see" Omnisphere, but does it actually open? Perhaps Omnisphere is still looking for files from the old installation.

Do you have a folder called STEAM? Inside should be a folder called Omnisphere, then the Defualts folder as shown in the Notice above.

Do you have v1.5.6d of Omnisphere?
