The interface of logic express 8 turned unexpectedly white and froze, while I was working on a project. I couldn't save, nor quit. It happens now every time I open Logic Express 8. I cannot work anymore on my projects.What has happened to the software? What can I do to prevent this form happening?

Logic 9.1.7 is no longer available for sale by mac. They propose instead to purchase Logic Pro 9 which costs 199.99$. If i decide to update to this new program, will I loose my projects from Logic express 8? Will they be compatible with Logic Pro 9?

If you Upgrade from Logic express 8 to Logic 9 (by Purchasing it via the Mac App Store)... Then...
Save your Logic 8 Creations as PROJECTS with ALL ASSETS...
Put them on an External Drive in a Folder called “ Logic 8 Originals “
Then... when you open them with Logic 9... give them a New Name...
Saving the New L9 Versions where you want...
That way you will always have the L8 Originals...
