Is there a way to mark movies that I have purchased on iTunes as something other than purchased. I want to use Backup to backup all my purchased music, but the backup just went from 2 DVDs to 8 because of a few TV shows that I purchased.
Or if there is a quick way to run backup for only the purchased music, that would solve my problem.

Plug it in and Time Machine should start up automatically and continue to back up automatically.
Also, If you are in the US, you can redownload music, movies and TV shows (though a backup in addition to redownloads is always a good idea).
Yes, you can re-download movies too, though we should observe not all studios allow this so not all movies are available. Also consider that if Apple stops stocking an item it will no longer be available unless you have your own copy somewhere.
