There should be 2 items. On my system the scanner appears as a Bonjour scanner, the printer appears as Canon IJ.
Since downloading the new Canon software the printer has worked each time, the scanner has however shown comms errors on several occasions.
Suggest that you leave the box that appears when you hit the + button for several minutes, hopefully the scanner will appear. Is your Bonjour setting on your printer set as enabled?
Yes, that must be my problem. I lost communications completely a few months ago and deleted printer and scanner and then re-added but for some reason on the printer re-appeared. Sound slike I should check Bonjour setting on printer to see if it got disabled. Would that be the only place I need to make sure Bonjour is enabled or do I need to check it on Mac as well? Thanks again for assistance here.
