iPod Touch 1st Gen Not Charging/Being Reconized

As the title says, my iPod Touch (1st Gen) will be reconized ** any computer or charge all in itself. I tried plugging it into multiple computers, nothing. I tried plugging it into the wall adapter...still nothing. It doesnt not get the charging symbol when I plug it into either places. The is actually the second time it happend. The first, well my cord was so worn, I guessed it was the cord and replaced it, worked just fine. The replacement happend very recently, like maybe 1-2 months ago. So right now, I would guess it was the cord, but its brand new. I have tried toing both a soft and hard reset of the iPod, nothing worked. If anyone could please help me, it would be highly appreciated.

Neither did anything. Like you said, I did Recovery Mode first. When I did so, after it did its thing and the "Connect(ing) to iTunes," picture poped up I got the, "USB Device Not Reconized," message. So, I then tried DFU Mode, and nothing happend with that. Any other ideas? Or what could possibly be the problem? Thank you for the help by the way. 🙂
