It does not seem to matter if the computer is plugged into power, or if other devices are plugged into the other ports.
Can anyone tell me why, or give me solution?

There have been a number of reported problems with the USB 3 ports on the 2012 models. Several people running Mountain Lion say that it 'fixes' the problems. Until then, see this Apple tech note - http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5172#12.
Good luck - Mountain Lion is just around the corner and will hopefully fix some of the glitches.

I am hoping/figuring it is not a hardware issue.
We will see if anything come out after ML is released.

My iPhone 4 is not showing up in the left USB port on my Retina MBP. It does, however, show up in the right port. Thoughts on why?
