I just downloaded Lightscribe for Mac. Simple Labeler program says my laptop has no drive that will do lightscribe.
Help?? If my Mac Book Pro doesn't have the proper drive, what do I need and where do I get it?

Your optical drive doesn't support lightscribe.
As to what proper drive, the only way around it is to buy an external drive that supports it if you wish to do so.
Not trying to be rude, if you really need it, go with a HP, Acer, Lenovo and Toshiba Notebook/Laptop. Those laptops support lightscribe.

LightScribe is, I believe, an HP product. LaCie sells and external drive that supports LightScribe. I used to have one but it died. I seldom used LightScribe as it took too much time and the discs with the special coating cost far more than traditional discs.
But if you want, for some reason, to buy an external drive that supports LightScribe, you can try this one made by LaCie and sold by Apple. I had mine for seven years before it died.

interestingly enough, my Toshiba (Satelite) laptop does NOT have lightscribe, but my desktop pc has a Asus brand Blu-ray drive that DOES have lightscribe; so as to who came up with it, who knows.
