The last 10 episodes of The Big Bang Theory will not sync to my iPod. I have been reading about firmware for 2 days and have downloaded several programs that were suggested. Still doen't work.

Are you getting any error messages when you try to sync these videos with your iPod? Have you double checked to make sure they are configured to sync to your iPod from under it's TV Shows configuration tab in iTunes?
If you are getting any error message, is it this one?

The tv show is The Big Bang Theory and I have synced 4 and 1/2 seasons. The last 10 episodes of season 5 do not sync and the message I get says something like they are not formatted correctly. I just don't get it. I have spent two days trying to fix this issue but I don't think I know enough. There is some mention of updating my firmware. ???? I have tried to find that and do it; but, I always seemed to be redirected to updating my drives. If you have any suggestions, I would appreciate it if you would send them to me. I appreciate your help!!
Sounds like you are trying to sync the HD version of the TV Episode. You should try to download the Standard Definition copy instead and sync that to your device as HD content is not compatible with the iPod Classic. See here for more information:

To prevent HD versions from being downloaded in the future head to the iTunes Store, click the Purchased link, and then select TV Shows and remove the tick mark next to Download HD when available. You should be able to download the SD version now from under this same page.

Yes!! I think you're right!! Those episodes were downloaded in HD only. Next question, how do I get them downloaded in SD?? Thank you so much for your help!!

If it's not available for redownload, you'll need to purchase the SD version instead. You might be able to contact iTunes about getting a refund on the HD version, but they are not obligated to do so as the terms state that all sales are final.
