I can't unlock the rotation for iPad 3 any suggestions ?
My iPad is locked in the verticle and will not go horizontale suddenly. How do I reset so it will alternate all ways viewable?

It depends on how you have the side button set. If it is designated as the rotation control, slide it (this is located just above the volume control on the right side of the iPad). If not, double click the Home button, slide the tray view at the bottom until you see the volume and brightness controls, the rotation lock is to the far left.
I have the same problem with my iPad and the rotation lock is not on. This happened without any changes to settings and have yet to find a solution...any further suggestion?
1. Make sure the Side Switch is set to Lock Rotation: Settings>General

2. Now check the Side Switch to make sure it's in the unlock position

I'm afraid something is wrong with the iPad. But do not worry, there is Assistve Touch. Go to Settings> General Setting> Accesibility> Assitive Touch> On and now you should see a black square with a circle. Check the corner of your screen. Press it> device> Rotate screen and rotate and you can rotate your screen. To exit, tap outside of the Assitive Touch.
