Can I trade in my 8gb iPhone 4 for a 16gb?

The Apple Support Communities are an international user to user technical support forum. As a man from Mexico my first language is Spanish. I do not speak English, however I do write in English with the aid of the Mac OS X spelling and grammar checks. I also live in a culture perhaps very very different from your own. When offering advice in the ASC, my comments are not meant to be anything more than helpful and certainly not to be taken as insults.

Apple is not here. Your best bet is to call an Apple Store directly and ask these questions. My guess is no. My guess is that you need to cancel the purchase from Rogers and buy directly from Apple, if a Rogers 16 GB iPhone is available from Apple.

Sounds like you are purchasing the iPhone 4 and not the iPhone 4s. The iPhone 4 only comes in 8GB to get 16 you will need to return it to Rogers and buy and iPhone 4s.

Apple used to sell the iPhone 4 in a 16 GB model. If you check the Apple website, Apple now only fabricates and sells an iPhone 4 in the 8 GB model. If you want something with higher capacity, then you must buy an iPhone 4S.

Whatever the retail cost of a non-subsidized iPhone 4s is at the Apple Store. They would only give you 10% off for recycling your iPhone 4.

The logical answer is the price difference in the two models, but looking at the Apple Store website for Canada, Apple appears to only sell unlocked iPhones, which go for full price.

But the Apple Store may not let you "return" a Rogers subsudized iPhone that you bought directly from Rogers. So again, that is a question that you should ask Apple directly.
