When i try and download my previous bought music on my iTunes account (on my new mac book) it says it can't because my computer is not authorized. when i first turned on my computer and it was all the registration stuff i didn't have internet access so it told me to do "this later" but i have no idea how to find where i do this.
Can anyone tell me how to authorize my computer?!

Open Itunes, then click on the store menu at top of screen, then select authorize this computer.
i cannot find the authorize this computer... is it on the side?? do i have to deauthorize other computers first (there are 2 previous ones which crashed that my account was on)
You can have a total of 5 authorized computers. The store menu should be up on the top of your screen near where the apple logo is. Click on the store menu, then click on the authorize this computer option.
Launch iTunes.
Click the "Store" menu in the menubar.
From the dropdown select "Authorize This Computer".

I hope that you have figured this out by now, but I had the same question. Benjamin is correct but you have to access the command by clicking "store" from your computer menu bar. I was doing the same thing you were doing and could not find "authorize" until I accessed it from my menu bar which is also at the top of your computer screen. Just be sure your menu bar is accessible. If not, you can google instruction for this.
