Q: directory services keychain empty for me

Hello,

  • At work I'm using mail.app connected to Exchange 2007 Server. This works fine.
  • Then I have added in mail settings the Global Directory Address lookup (againast LDAP ESD Server) for my corporate contacts to be automatically suggested upon typing in the "To" and other fields of new mail. That also works fine.
  • What is not working is the automatic retrieval of the Public Certificate upon doing the Address lookup.

This is where comes in this thread about adding the "Directory Services" in the Keychain Preferences.

I have done that but still not working.

Can anyone help me understand how to fulfill the requirement number 1 (Your Mac must already be configured to use a directory service such as Open Directory)

Do I need to setup Directory Services Login for my whole Mac OS or is it possible to avoid this as I don't want to use my corporate Login on this laptop...

Could you enlighten me please?

Thanks

Jeremy
