How do I get QuickTime Player to read ogg audio files?

For Quicktime player to play it, it needs to be converted
to one of the formats listed here:

Otherwise, you will need to use different player software.

This does not help. Surely there must be a way as pronunciations of places etc in Google are in the .ogg audio file format.
Perian adds an audio type called "Xiph Vorbis". That apparently includes Wikipedia pronunciations, since they work for me (in Safari).
