I have brought some movies and they just come up with this message that says it cannot be played on this iPod. I've bought movies before without iTunes Extras but these have iTunes extras and they don't want to sync with my iPod
Does anyone know what is wrong?

Sounds like you are trying to sync the HD version of the video. You should try to download the Standard Definition copy instead and sync that to your device as HD content is only compatible with the 4G iPod Touch. See here for more information:

To prevent HD versions from being downloaded in the future head to the iTunes Store, click the Purchased link, and then select TV Shows and remove the tick mark next to Download HD when available. You should be able to download the SD version now from under this same page.

Thanks but they are not hd movies I don't know what happened it comes up with a message that it can't be synced to this iPod. I've tried it with my iPad and it still dosen't work. When I have my laptop on I can play the movie through shared but only if my laptop is turned on.
Right->click on one of the videos and choose Get Info. What is listed under the Quality field that is found under the Summary tab?

There is nothing that says quality under the summary tab
If it's a Movie there should be a Video Quality setting from under the Summary tab of the file's Get Info window in iTunes.

The film is cloudy with a chance of meatballs if that helps and i paid £4.99 for the sd version
