left mouse button function

Hello,

I was wondering how to use the left mouse function with my Ipad 1. I use photoshop elements and need to be able to left click and drag items. Is there a way to do this on the Ipad?

PhotoShop Elements 8 is available in the U.S. app store ....but the "left click" mouse action would be what a single tap is on the iPad. The left click using a mouse selects an item. If the apps talks about left clicking - whatever app you are really talking about - left click would not be a valid instruction on the iPad - IMO.

You must be looking at the Mac app store. There is no version of Elements available on the iOS app store in any region.

No. I was looking in the app store on the iPad but apparently it is a book. You can't access the Mac App Store on the iPad and that was the device that I was using.

There is a PhotoShop Elements 9 as well - also apparently a book.

So I stand corrected on that and I apologize for that misunderstanding - but not for what I stated about the "left click" action on the iPad.

I do not have elements on my iPad, but I do on my desktop. I have splashtop streamer on the desktop which allows me to access the desktop remotely. So I want to access elements to work in the car! We are taking a long road trip to Florida so I want to pass the time! That's why I need the left mouse button, as it lets you add elements to a layout when digital scrapping. All of the quick replies are much appreciated!

Ah, so what you are really asking is how to click and drag in splashtop? I have not personally used this app, but it appears that to perform such an operation you will need to switch to the "trackpad mode" by tapping on the screen with two fingers.

There is no such function. Most options come up when you tap and hold.

I didn't know Photoshop Elements was available for the iPad? I don't see it in the UK App Store.

It's not available. There is only Photoshop Touch and Photoshop Express.

Try Double tap with one finger and hold to drag items. Thats the way it seems to work in Team Viewer. That is also a remote app and I have used it a few times.
