Sadly, the end result was the same for me. For me I think there's a happy ending. I discovered there's an Express Replacement Service for Shuffles, and mines under warranty, so I'm going be shipped a new Shuffle with instructions for returning my bad Shuffle. Hopefully it will end up being no cost to me. If you go to Apple Support for iPod Shuffles you can find the info. Good luck. Very frustrating.

Wow! I think it's working .. my iPod shuffle was doing that exact thing, first I was getting nothing when o plugged it in, then I kept trying every few weeks just because I really missed it..and I noticed a red light started to come in, but only for a couple seconds. I thought that was a sign that it apparently did get some charge, so I kept doing it, but with no success. Today I tried it again, and the same thing ..red light for a few seconds only. So I followed your instructions plugging it in and turning it on and off until the red light came on and went off, and repeated the process firs out 10 minutes, and now the red light is staying on!! I think it's chargimg!! I hope it is, domething is happening because the red light is staying on now for at least 15 minutes! i believe I will be listening to my favorite music soon!! Thank you so much for your advice! I really appreciate it 🙂
