Oct 11, 2012 10:10 AM in response to silviupetreby South gate,Recharge your shuffle, the light will go green when charged. Your device will show up after your cousin disconnects his phone and you plug in your shuffle again.
Hope that helps

Oct 11, 2012 11:52 AM in response to silviupetreby South gate,Is your shuffle switch off, if not switch it off and try charging again. Secondly, unplug your shuffle, turn the shuffle on and off again, is the light green now?

Jul 3, 2013 9:51 PM in response to bensdaswagby Roadraven,I am having the same problem and I didn't get it wet at all. Its a fairly new shuffle......only a few weeks old.... and it won't charge (only the red light comes on for 5 seconds) and itunes won't recognize it. Did I just buy a dud?

Sep 26, 2013 9:55 AM in response to Kenichi Watanabeby DeborahF,I am having the same issue. It's a waterproof shuffle, so water should not be a problem. When I plug it in, get the red light for a few seconds, then nothing. It has been charged in overnight and is not charging. Have restarted my computer, and I know the USB port is fine. The device does not show up in Disk Uitility. Any ideas how to get my laptop to recognize the nano?

Sep 26, 2013 12:44 PM in response to DeborahFby Kenichi Watanabe,The water-proofed shuffle is not technically an Apple product anymore, because it has been modified by the company that sells them. It does no harm to ask questions here, since it is still functionally an iPod shuffle, but if it's under warranty, you should contact the company that sold it, for tech support.
The device does not show up in Disk Uitility.
It will not appear in Disk Utility or the Mac Desktop (except when syncing), unless you set it to Enable disk use. Does it appear in iTunes when connected?
When I plug it in, get the red light for a few seconds, then nothing.
That may indicate that the battery is faulty. Be sure to try disconnecting other USB devices, in case there is not enough power on your Mac's USB bus for all connected devices. If you use a USB hub, try a direct connection. If it's a MacBook, connect its power adapter.

Jan 27, 2014 11:21 AM in response to Kenichi Watanabeby TheOwner of this Shuffle,I'm having the same problem. The online customer service is useless since I recieved this as a gift and don't know the purchase date. I've had this less than two weeks and have used it twice. Do not under an circumstances recommend this piece of garbage to anyone!
