Q: my iPod shuffle 4th gen won't charge or show up in iTunes

Hey Guys, I did exactly same steps (connecting and disconnecting the shuffle repatedly) after 15 minutes the red came on steady but never go green. I put the shuffle on charge all night and the following day but still no charged. Does anybody do that properly and the shuffle is charged?? Please help me!! Thanks.

Sadly, the end result was the same for me.  For me I think there's a happy ending.  I discovered there's an Express Replacement Service for Shuffles, and mines under warranty, so I'm going be shipped a new Shuffle with instructions for returning my bad Shuffle.  Hopefully it will end up being no cost to me.  If you go to Apple Support for iPod Shuffles you can find the info.  Good luck.  Very frustrating.

Hi, I tried this. The red light comes on as constant, however it never turns orange or green. Does anyone know of a fix to get the iPod fixed from a constant red light?

Wow! I think it's working .. my iPod shuffle was doing that exact thing, first I was getting nothing when o plugged it in, then I kept trying every few weeks just because I really missed it..and I noticed a red light started to come in, but only for a couple seconds. I thought that was a sign that it apparently did get some charge, so I kept doing it, but with no success. Today I tried it again, and the same thing ..red light for a few seconds only. So I followed your instructions plugging it in and turning it on and off until the red light came on and went off, and repeated the process firs out 10 minutes, and now the red light is staying on!! I think it's chargimg!! I hope it is, domething is happening because the red light is staying on now for at least 15 minutes! i believe I will be listening to my favorite music soon!! Thank you so much for your advice! I really appreciate it

If you have only red light, just take hairdryer...I used hairdryer until I could not keep the iPod in hand and it works. Or you can try give your iPod to the cup of rice.

My shuffle is driving me crazy bacause i followed the program and all im seeing is a red light when its plugde in and i left it like that for

an whole day and in the morning i woke up is still seeing it red ? WHAT DO I DO ?
