Jul 18, 2012 2:26 PM in response to Rickathyby baltwo,Contact Apple Service, iMac Service or Apple's Express Lane. Do note that if you have AppleCare's protection plan and you're within 50 miles (80 KM) of an Apple repair station, you're eligible for onsite repair since yours is a desktop machine.

Jul 18, 2012 3:07 PM in response to Rickathyby Rickathy,This particular iMac was purchased new for our active duty military to use in the AMC here in Germany...not sure if ther is an Apple repair station near and we don't hve the AppleCare's protection plan.

Jul 18, 2012 3:25 PM in response to Rickathyby baltwo,It's a hardware issue and needs repairing. The AppleCare protection plan is the cheapest insurance you can get for these machines. If the machine's less than a year old, you can still get it. Sorry, but that's all I can offer.
