how can i get my regular email address from me.com after upgrade to OS X Lion????

No, that didn't do it. Had to create a new account and now my email is GOD KNOWS WHERE.
You need to follow the correct procedure. If you haven't already migrated, go to http://me.com and migrate your account to iCloud. You need to do this as a matter of urgency since we don't know for how much longer this will be possible.
Then go to System Preferences>iCloud, sign out if you are signed in, and sign in with your @me.com address. Enable Mail and any other data types you want to sync in the checklist there.
