timezone issue on iphone

I add my events in PST, but they only display in EST. When I create the event, it has 'Ottawa' by default so I always have to manually add in Vancouver. But it still displays the event in EST. How can I change this. My world clock is set to Vancouver as it is in settings too. Very frustrated.,
