Emptying certain photos from iphoto trash barrel.

Does any body know how to delete photos from the trash in iphoto? I know how to send them to the trash but I don't want to empty the entire trash. Just certain pics? Any help would be great if this can even be done. Thanks.

iPhoto '08, Mac OS X (10.6.8)

Not possible. The purpose of the iPhoto trash (and the system trash for that matter) is to delete things. If you do not want to delete photos do not put them in the trash

And note that iPhoto does not handle large numbers of photos in the trash well. Empty the iPhoto trash every 100 deletes or so
