Can I get the paperback version of the books I bought on IBooks?

Only if you buy them. The price you pay for e-books is a fraction of what you would pay for a new paperback or hardcover book. There is no crossover in terms of the purchase - you buy an e-book, a paperback, or a hardcover. If you want a hardcopy, you have to buy it separately from the e-book.

While I agree that buying the ebook does not entitle you to a print edition, just as buying a hardback does not entitile you to the paperback or the ebook.

I will argue that in many cases publishers are NOT making ebooks much if any cheaper than the print edition, especially considering manufacturing, distribution, and inventory costs ARE a fraction of the cost for a print edition.

I'm not saying they shouldn't price books that way, I'm just saying they are not always much cheaper than the printed editions.

Been reading ebooks since 2001, starting with a Palm PDA, through several Palm generations, and two iPod Touch generations.
