How can I link iPhoto to my Apple ID on my all-new MB Air to update it through the MAS?

Hello everyone.

My new mid 2012 MacBook Air won't download the iPhoto update (9.3.1) through the Mac App Store, telling me I should use the Apple ID I entered when I bought the Mac (which I tried without success). What should I do to get iPhoto linked to my Apple ID?

Did iPhoto come preinstalled on your MBA? Then you need to accept it to your Apple ID. If you have not done so already, sign in with your AplleID and go to the "Purchases" Tab in the App Store. Accept the app by pressing the "Accept" button, Then you should see it offered for update in the Update Panel.
