Would the snap on and silicone cases fit the Retina Display iPad

My iPad 2 case fit my new iPad 3.
Depends on the case and it's design. The new iPad is slightly thicker than the iPad 2. In some instances the older case may fit, but not in others.
silicone probably. the hard cases are more problamatic. The 3 is .07mm thicker than the 2. So if your hardcase has some wiggle room then it can work, but if it's a tight fit then it probably won't. Soft cases and many portfolio cases can adapt to the slightly thicker body of the 3
Yours does - but a lot more (particularly hard cases) don't.
To the OP: if you have a hard case, be extra caotious when applying an iPad 2 hard case. You may end up having to use a knife to get the case off. If, after applying two corners, you see it won't fit, do NOT try to fit the third corner!
