Keeping packaging for apple care?

Hello,

I've just bought a new macbook pro (1st time 🙂 ) and I wonder if it is required to keep the laptop packaging regarding to apple care?

I means if one day I need to send my laptop to the support will I need to have the original packaging or not?

Thank you

It is always best to keep the original box the computer came in. Even if you never have to send it in, and with Mac's you normally take it to an Apple Genius Bar, what if in the future you want to sell it. The box makes it worth just a little more.

As to the Applecare extended warranty Apple states that you KEEP all the packaging it came in. Even though it is registered to you.
