I placed se veral MP4 videos in my Itunes library and tried to sync it to my Ipad. I cannot pull them up on my Ipad. Everything is setright, I think, but it still does not show o up on my Ipad. WHen I plug in my Ipad tmy computer, the videos appear to be in my playlist and movies section. What am I doing wrong???

You might have to convert the movies to make them compatible with the iPad.
Take a look at this Apple doc about converting videos, which includes sample files -> Verifying iTunes video conversion and video syncing using sample QuickTime files
Just remove the videos from the iPad, then select the video in iTunes, click Advanced, click create iPad version. Then sync them to the iPad again.
Do they play on the iPad after converting them in iTunes?
Do those sample files convert, sync and play on the iPad?
