I have a macbook pro I updated to Lion 10.7.4 and now my epson 3880 will not print decent prints! Worked fine before but I cannot load profiles ofr paper now and therefore cannot get quality prints now! I am an artist and this is a large part of my business is there an answer for this issue?

In the print dialogue box (when you select Print) click on the box at the bottom that says Show Details.
That does not solve the problem of loading paper ICC codes.

I downloaded a dmg file containing Epson ICC profiles . After running the installer, I found the path to the profiles is
HD/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/EPSON Stylus Pro 3880/

Can you elaborate a little more on the specifics of your problem.
Are the profiles missing? The normal places include:
/Library/ColorSync/Profiles
/Library/ColorSync/Profiles/EPSON Stylus Pro 3880/
On my system the Epson paper profiles got installed here:
/Library/Printers/EPSON/InkjetPrinter2/ICCProfiles/Pro3880.profiles/Contents/Res ources/Epson Stylus Pro 3880_3885_3890\
The non-Epson paper's profiles went to: /Library/ColorSync/Profiles
Or is the App you print from not looking in the right place for them?
Or is the app been set somehow to "Printer manages color"?
My Epson 3880 will not print decent prints.
