Q: Aperture 3.2.4 flagged pics in Project not showing in Flagged view

I have used Aperture 3.2.4 flagging many times as a method to create batches of pics for emailing.  Tonight I have flagged 6 pics.  I can see the flag on each pic, deselect and reselect each flag, but in the "Flagged" view I am not seeing any pictures.  In browser, in the list view, the pictures are showing as flagged.

Any ideas?  Thanks,  Bruce

It is possible that you have a filter set on the flagged album. When the flagged album is selected with browser view on look in the upper right hand corner of the screen the window should say unrated or better.

If that is not the case what happens when you hold the mouse over the flagged album in the Library pane of the Inspector. Does it report any versions in the album?

Finally take a look at this User Tip Images not appearing in browser, search filter is cleared   The same problem this tip addresses with the Photos section of the Library also applies to the Flagged album. See if this doesn;t clear it up if the above fail.

And of course the steps shown in Aperture 3: Troubleshooting Basics will also be helpful.

Post back if you still have problems.

    Frank,

My problem appears not to have been a filter issue.  What you wrote in the last paragrah to another person below solved my problem and showed me my flagged pics in Flagged.

    Thanks,

    B.

I believe you are out of luck on this one.

There is no way (that I know of) to select an item from the library either through a menu item or the keyboard. That is while you can do View->Browser of View->Places there is no View->(library element)

However there is one possible work around ^/ (control-/) in any browser filters to just the flagged images in that browser. So if you were in the Photos browser ^/ would be equivalent to going to the Flagged album.

While that is a useful work around for your situation is isnt really a solution. You should see the flagged images in the Flagged album.

I would still try the procedure from the User Tip I referenced, substituting the Flagged album from the Photos icon in the Library.

If that doesn;t help I would then do a library repair. If that still doesn't clear it up you should create a new empty library, import a few images into it, flag some and see if they show up in the Flagged album. This will at least help identify if the problem is local to your account or system wide,
