"Required folder could not be found"

I have an iPod Nano 4th gen. I am trying to sync new music to it and I get the error message "required folder could not be found." I have both uninstalled & reinstalled iTunes as well as restored the iPod, both with no luck. Any advice?

I never try to sync anything but music and iTunes on this computer with that cable never had an issue before. I'm also getting a message saying that it's trying to analyze gapless information, or something to that effect and it makes iTunes completely freeze and I end up having to restart my computer each time it does that.

As soon as iTunes opens, whether or not the iPod is plugged in, it goes to determining the gapless playback status. If I click on the exit button, it doesn't do anything. I can't even open any other programs on my computer at the time. Everything pretty much freezes.

And thank you for helping me with this 🙂
