Lost all Apps.Reset.Wont stop spinning!

I turned my Ipod Touch 4g off one night and it was normal. Then I turned it on in the morning and all my apps were gone! Even the Apple ones like App Store and Camera.... So I reset the handset. It showed the Apple Logo and it filled up quickly but now its stuck on the spinning wheel and wont reset. Its been stuck for 1 hour now. What should I do?

I need my Ipod Touch!!! 😢

Also, Itunes isnt detecting my Ipod Touch so I cant eject it!

I cant plug it via usb because it is just a black screen with a spinning wheel trying to reboot. If i plug it in nothing connects. It overheats loads...It overheated before it started spinning. Its just this image all the time an

it wont stop. Any other ideas or should I just take it into apple?

put into recovery mode then restore.

Can you shut off your Ipod because if you can Hold the home button then plug into your computer and restore that should do it.
