I have a Universal Binary, how do I get it working in Logic Pro 7? VOPM Mac

I downloaded a Universal Binary file for a free synth call VOPM. At first I couldn't figure out how to install it as it wasn't an AU component, so I downloaded a free wrapper call jvstwrapper.

I think I eventually worked it out as you can see from the image, it opened in Logic but VOPM didn't generate any sound when I played on my keyboard.

I thought from there that I got it wrong, so I tried Googling to see how to install the UB file instead of converting it, but i can't find anything. Does Logic expect Universal Binary? Do I need to try harder at converting it?

Or if there is anyone how has this working on a Mac already, could they tell me how to get it working?

MacBook, Mac OS X (10.7.4)

That is a very, very, very old VST synth. I remember it already not working as a native VST in Cubase back in the nineties! So I'm not surprised it won't work as an AU-wrapped VST. In my experience 20-30 % of wrapped VST's, though they do appear in logic, either make no sound or their parameters are not accessable/do not respond (dead GUI). For an FM synth, there's no free alternative that I know of - well, except Logics' own EFM1 of course!
