Q: My Itunes doesn't have a music tab, only apps , podcasts , books and itunesu . Why is this ?

My Itunes has been giving me a lot of trouble. Firstly i havent been able to browse through or see any music in the itunes store , only apps,podcasts , books and itunesU. Secondly I received two itunes gift cards for my birthday and when i tried to reedeem them in the ap store it said invalid codes for both. I proceeded in trying to redeem the cards from my itunes on my computer and it said the country of the itunes account doesnt match the itunes card. I am Jamaican ,and i created my apple ID on my itouch in Jamaica , did that automatically give me a Jamaican account? How can I resolve these issues ?

    Only about a quarter of the iTunes country stores have music, so you are apparently looking at one that doesn't.

     

    Go into the store, and click the little house icon to get to the home page, where you can click on "Change Country."  Click on the country you are in, and enter your credit card information. 

     

    To make purchases, the address on the card must match the country of the store, and you must be physically in that country at the time of purchase.

    Jamaica iTunes store currently only has apps, podcats, iTunes U and free books.

    The gift cards are only good in the country they are for (ie. if purchased in the US they are only good in the US store).
